OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE CONSULTANT (M/W)

The mission of the Operational Excellence consultant is to manage the continuous improvement activities within the factories of one of our prestigious fashion clients, to support and challenge the teams on the improvement of their process, their organization, their quality (internal or external), paying particular attention to the efficiency of flows and the reduction of throughput times.
He is responsible for deploying the basics of operational excellence and preparing the ground for further transformation. It thus helps operational staff to achieve their Safety, Quality, Cost and Deadline objectives in line with the requirements imposed by the sustained pace of the studios.

Assignment :
• Immerse yourself in the culture of our client, and know the products, and the expectations of the studios, the creation, the parade and the organizations and the processes of the French and Italian sites in the first place.
• Participate in the development of an Operational Excellence Road Map for the Group by defining the continuous improvement projects to be deployed, the themes to be addressed, the common thread to follow to interest the teams.
• Pilot this Road Map with the Activity Directors and provide support for the operational implementation with the teams of each entity.
Attributions:
• Train teams in operational excellence, Lean, quality tools (5S, flow analysis, 5M problem solving method or 5 whys)
•Communicate effectively; promote the culture of questioning the existing to do better together, more fluidly, in all departments and functions; involve people at all levels in continuous improvement.
•Collaborate with each BU and each site to identify improvement opportunities that have an impact on Quality, service level, costs, HSE; coordinate, prioritize and ensure that the Road Map is followed.

•Ensure that improvement projects are well managed using robust methods (PDCA, 8D) according to defined priorities. Example: pose the problem, definition of the objective to be achieved, constitution of the multidisciplinary team, identification of the causes, launch of the priority actions, evaluation of the effectiveness.
•Follow up on each project team and report to management on their progress, while communicating successes internally.
•Define KPIs type progress indicators if necessary
• Set an example by doing and supporting managers or technicians but knowing how to delegate and then give responsibility back to managers.
• Participate in the recruitment or promotion of future operational excellence managers where site managers have shown an interest in the approach
•Animate an operational excellence community within the Group, share best practices, develop a certain emulation
•Together with the Lean community, build a knowledge base on Lean, develop a range of training courses adapted to the needs of each site.

•Coach the continuous improvement project teams if necessary to help them achieve their objectives and the continuous improvement managers (interface between the various internal and external actors)
•Take responsibility for other projects as needed by our client.

Profile :
•Engineer training or equivalent
• Industrial experience of 5 to 8 years in the continuous improvement function, or operational excellence with good knowledge and practice of Lean manufacturing
•Experience as a production or industrialization manager, confronted with small and medium series and transformation
•Strong appetite for the product
• Good knowledge of Lean tools such as HOSHIN, VSM, 5S, TPM, PDCA, 8D, 5 Whys • Knowledge of SAP type ERP

•Fluent English, the practice of Italian is a plus
•Excellent relational quality with perspective, open-mindedness
•Sense of the operational and the human: ability to do and to have done
•Leadership skills developed
